Finley Cate – 12.20.11

I am LONG overdue in announcing the birth of our 3rd baby girl, Finley Cate! If you follow me on Facebook then you’ve heard the news, but I’ve been avoiding anything work related for the past month, which also includes blogging. So, I’m coming out from under my rock to finally introduce our sweet little Finley Cate! To say she is adored by her sisters is an understatement! They are loving her almost literally to death, which is one reason I have been unable to do anything work related, I am on a constant baby watch! So, it is our family’s pleasure to introduce you to Finley Cate, named in honor of my grandparents who Phil and I are both very close to.
The professional portraits (images 3-5) taken of our family and of Finley were done by my friend, the very talented Stephanie Johnson of Baby Snap Photography! The rest were taken by me.

8 lbs 3 oz ~ 21″ long

Merry Maternity leave!

I wanted to thank you all for a wonderful year! Both new and old clients have made it a great success for me and I feel so blessed! I hope you all are able to take time to slow down and enjoy the Christmas Season with your families and not overload yourselves with everything that can become burdensome this time of year.
I am now beginning maternity leave in preparation for baby girl #3, who will be arriving on December 20th if not before! I will return at the end of February and begin taking new sessions in March so book now to get a spring session! Availability as of now is below.
Since I can’t post without a picture I wanted to share one that my talented & generous colleague took of me and my girls together, one last time, before we become a family of 5! Thank you Rashmi Pappu! You always nail it!

Happy, happy, fall! | The ‘B’ family

I have been photographing the ‘B’ family for several years now, starting with ‘A’ was just 1 year old and now she’s 4! And then I got to meet ‘M’ right after he was born and now he’s 2!!! Time flies! I also got to work with mom on my big commercial shoot over the summer! So, needless to say it is always a joy seeing this family. We met at River Farm, the first spot I photographed A. It was a big chilly and breezy on Friday but we braved it and they put on their smiles for me! Thanks so much for allowing me to continue to be apart of your family’s history!

Mike & Taryn: Engaged!

Mike & Taryn met while going to the University of Maryland, so, they appropriately chose it as the location for their engagement session. I have never been there before and it, like so many other college campuses, is beautiful in the fall! So many gorgeous, colorful trees framing college dorms and education buildings. We had amazing weather too, not to warm, not to cold!
Taryn is gorgeous and I cannot wait to see her as a bride! She’s already glowing! Mike is so sweet and easy going. You can tell she and Mike just adore each other and are still quite smitten even after being together for 5 years! I am so looking forward to their June wedding! Thanks for a great session guys and enjoy your preview!
